85mm Photos

Image
85mm Photos This morning I went out to the pond for a walk and grabbed my 85mm Lightdow lens. It was cloudy, windy, and cool so I had to take advantage of that. Ended up using my newest lens that I really didn't like at first. For the camera nerds it's an 85mm lens with F/1.8 and without the hood I bought a 55mm filter to put on it for UV protection. This manual focus lens was pretty cheap and I'm still not sure if it was worth it or not. I've included a picture of the lens below for those interested. More testing will surely follow in the future. Today I was pleased.   You might also noticed I placed some ads of my camera equipment below and throughout the blog, just in case you'd like to purchase any of the same gear I have. Just so you know, I'm an Amazon Associate, and I will get a small cut if you use the links here on my blog. Thanks, Aaron I'm sure these 2 never go fishing or swimming here. A new friend. So You're Not Gonna Like THIS...

So You're Not Gonna Like THIS... She's not my friend, she wasn't invited, she's got a guest who is a little tied up at the moment, and there's a well crafted web over my favorite chair on the porch. Grabbed the 300mm lens with my Canon 6D Mark II to zoom in without getting close AT ALL.  I'm too scared to go out there without a flamethrower so my eight legged guest will still be around. Hope you enjoy, Aaron Follow me on Instagram @vizionphotographybyaaron I use a Canon Rebel T5 DSLR Camera and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II Camera with a few choice lenses: 18-55mm by Canon 75-300mm by Canon 50mm EF by Canon 24mm EFS by Canon 85mm by Lightdow and a 500mm by Vivitar. iPhone 6S Plus using FILCA Camera App Best Wishes, Aaron.

My 30th Birthday!

Image
My 30th Birthday! 30 years. A landmark. A milestone. It all gets better from here. I've heard it all. The panic is over, I'm thankful for the years I've had and the years to come. I won't sweat the things I've supposed to have done or shouldn't have. I've got plenty of time and there's no hurry. I've got things left to do and the things I have done, the people I've met, the struggles I've had, have made me who I am. Today I thought I'd share photos of my family and I celebrating. We had pizza, beer, ice cream cake, and laughs. May this year be one to remember, and to many more! Much love, Aaron 30. Nobody PANIC! Presley Smiled for a picture! We're all done here. Mom, Presley, and I. With my aunts and uncle Gifts! Jazz art that's numbered. Guitar, Keys, and Trombone in this Jazz Art. I spent the morning at the pond with my 24mm Lens and my Canon Rebel T5 Camera

500mm Shoot at the Pond

Image
500mm Shoot at the Pond Normal day at the pond with my 500mm Lens and my monopod for some extreme long range close up shots. I also used my iPhone Camera when the ducks got close to me. Spent some time also taking out of focus shots at night which was fun. I've been using the FILCA app which allows me to simulate different types of film which are sort of like filters, plus it allows me to control my iPhone camera with the settings I would normally have on my DSLR. Really digging the app, plus the time stamps you'd have on old photos looks really cool. When I first got my Camera, my Rebel T5, I was obsessed with Manual Focus and pulling focus on my own. I would mess with getting subjects or the background in/out of focus. It was really fun and I've mostly let my camera do the Auto Focus for me since then. It was fun to step into that old mindset. The 500mm lens is fully manual, no fancy technology here, so learning how to use it effectively has been a challenge, this day sh
